Mario Mudri, B.Sc., J.D., was born in Kucura, Serbia. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and earned his Juris Doctor in 2021 from the University of Manitoba. Mario was called to the Alberta Bar in July 2022.
Mario’s engineering background gives him a unique and technical foundation that translates directly into construction litigation. At HMC, his practice focuses on civil and construction litigation, with a select family law practice maintained alongside it.
His path to HMC has taken him from a broad general practice in Medicine Hat and Edmonton where he covered civil litigation, family law, real estate, wills and estates, personal injury and criminal matters. With each step Mario has sharpened his focus and deepened his understanding of the law especially when facing complex and nuanced disputes.
Mario is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, and the former Secretary of the Edmonton chapter of the St. Thomas More Lawyers’ Guild.
Outside the office, Mario enjoys travelling, writing, cooking, and playing dodgeball. A lifelong storyteller, he previously acted with the Medicine Hat Musical Theatre and is drawn to plays, films, and books.
Mario is very proud of his Ruthenian heritage and speaks Ruthenian fluently. He is also conversational in Ukrainian and Serbian.
