Praveen is an associate lawyer at HMC Lawyers. She was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Praveen’s practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury litigation and insurance defence.
Praveen has extensive experience representing the interests of corporations and individuals on complex litigation matters. She has litigated in the Court of Appeal, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice.
Graduating from the University of London in 2014, Praveen was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2018. During her time in London, Praveen was secretary of her law school’s division of Lawyers Without Borders.
Prior to her studies in London, Praveen studied sociology at Queen’s University on the Queen’s University Excellence Scholarship. Throughout her studies at Queen’s University, she remained on the Dean’s Honour List.
Praveen is a proud member of the Canadian Bar Association, Advocates’ Society, Association of Women Lawyers (Calgary), Lawyers for Equity Access and Diversity (LEAD), Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and Global Lawyers of Canada.
